Dr John Pulvirenti (Practice Principal)
Dr John Pulvirenti was born in Ingham in 1947 and graduated as a dentist at the University of Queensland in 1968.
After graduation Dr Pulvirenti worked for Queensland Health on the School Dental Train in Northern Queensland before beginning his own practice in Atherton. From here Dr Pulvirenti purchased a practice in Home Hill before moving to Townsville and working side by side with his son, Dr Matthew Pulvirenti, also a dentist, before restricting his practice to orthodontics.
Dr Pulvirenti has always been interested in orthodontics and the way the shape of the face affects the growth of the teeth, as well as TMJ and Snoring/Sleep Apnea complaints.
As a general dentist Dr Pulvirenti has undertaken numerous post graduate courses in these areas and updates his knowledge by regular attendance at conferences and seminars.
Affectionately known as “Dr P” by patients and staff, John enjoys keeping fit in the gym, cycling, playing golf, eating out, music, travel and theatre.
Support Staff
Dr John Pulvirenti is supported in his practice by two Dental Assistants/Lab Technicians, Jo and Denise, and a Front Office Coordinator, Susanna.
